Morning Program (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)


CATERPILLAR CLASS (2-3'S GROUP)
Mondays through Fridays

The focus of this class is to provide numerous opportunities for students to explore their natural environment with all their senses and become in-tuned with their best learning style: visual, verbal, auditory (auditory-musical), and kinesthetic.

TYPICAL DAY 
Transition times will shorten as students become acquainted with schedule.

  • 9:00 – 9:30am - Arrivals. Outside PlayTime (drop-off inside gated area). Parents sign-in.

  • 9:30- 9:45am - Clean up and Transition into Circle Time. "Clean-up Song."

  • 9:45- 10:15am - Circle Time followed by Center Time (Child- Initiated activities in Art, Dramatic, Music Centers)

  • 10:15- 10:30am - Clean-up and Transition into Potty Party; Diaper checks/ Potty breaks; "Hand- washing Song"

  • 10:30- 11:00am - Snack (if child is done early may go to Reading Center): Transition to Outside Exploration time

  • 11:00- 11:20am - Outside Exploration time

  • 11:20-11:30am - Potty party: Diaper checks/ Potty breaks; Wash hands

  • 11:30- 11:50am - Teacher- Guided activities in Math, Science, Manipulative Center.

  • 11:45am - Clean up.

  • 11:50 – 12:00pm - Final Circle time. Dismissal. Parents sign-out

 

BUTTERFLIES CLASS (3-5'S GROUP)
Mondays through Fridays

This class embraces an Emergent Curriculum, play- based program that also uses developmentally appropriate practices to instill cultural appreciation and respect in our students.

TYPICAL DAY
Transition times will shorten as students become acquainted with schedule.

  • 9:00-9:15am - Drop Off/ Play outside

  • 9:15-9:30am - Transition to Morning Program

  • 9:30-10:15am - Morning Program Lessons & Activities

  • 10:15am - Transition to Snack Time

  • 10:15-10:45am - Snack/CleanUp

  • 10:45-11:15am - Recess

  • 11:15-11:30am - Transition to Lessons

  • 11:30-12:00pm - Morning Program Lessons & Activities

  • 12:00pm - Dismissal/Transition to Afternoon Program

 

AFTERNOON ENRICHMENT PROGRAM/LUNCH BUNCH
Mondays through Fridays 12-2:30pm

ADDITIONAL NOTES

​

  • Students may bring a yoga/sleeping mat to rest on.

  • Attendance is available on a Monthly or a Drop-In basis ($50.00/ day). Parents should notify staff or teachers ahead of time.

  • There will not be Afternoon Care the days prior to holidays, or snow days.
